Join us in Panama!
Because our goal is not only providing health services locally, but also to affect health systems in the home countries of our volunteers through tropical and clinical exposure and mentoring, our volunteer selection process is very open compared to most volunteer organizations.
We accept volunteers at many skill levels from bilingual veteran mission doctors to non-Spanish speaking students interested in an immersive experience.Note: Please remember to make your contribution in USD. If you make your contribution in another denomination and therefore overpay, you are responsible for any fees incurred in the currency exchange and refund.
In Support of Floating Doctors
Floating Doctors began as a small project with the goal of bringing healthcare services to isolated areas. Over the last several years, we have grown into an organization with international recognition that thrives via volunteer engagement, community outreach and education, extensive partnerships with local health organizations and educational systems, and an adaptability that allows us to tailor care to the needs of specific communities.
Since 2010, we have combined accessible and comprehensive health care services, rigorous scientific research, and internationally accredited medical education opportunities to save lives, introduce long term health care solutions, and break the cycle of poverty and disease for these communities. Through our volunteer program and training opportunities, Floating Doctors regularly visits over 25 communities with tens of thousands of individuals spread over 10,000 square miles of jungle and mangrove forests.
